16-Mile 230 kV Transmission Line Design (Multi-Segment)
Client: Transmission Line Design
Project Overview
Complete transmission line design for a multi-segment 230 kV rebuild program associated with a new greenfield substation. Deliverables included:
- Structure spotting and easement coordination across 5 segments
- Steel pole load trees and concrete pole orders
- Drilled shaft foundation designs
- Plan and profile drawings, fiber design, and damper recommendations
- FAA permits and crossing permits
- Fabrication drawing reviews and IFB construction packages
- Detailed construction sequencing for outage-constrained radial feeds
- Design of temporary lines to maintain energized circuits during construction
- Construction support phase assistance
The project required one circuit to remain energized at all times due to radial feed constraints, demanding careful sequencing coordination.
