345 kV PLS-CADD Steel Monopoles Drilled Shafts OPGW NESC 2023

Project Overview

Served as lead transmission engineer for a 345 kV overhead gen-tie connecting a solar generation facility to the utility point of interconnection. Delivered a complete IFC construction package including:

- PLS-CADD line modeling with survey and grading integration
- Plan and profile drawings, structure framing and assemblies
- Self-supporting steel monopole design on drilled shaft foundations
- OPGW fiber routing, splice locations, and coordination
- Conductor selection with ampacity and surface gradient calculations
- Stringing charts, bills of material, and construction staking
- FAA pre-screening evaluations
- Crossing and interconnection documentation for permitting

Design performed in accordance with NESC 2023 and applicable utility standards, coordinating with EPC teams and geotechnical consultants throughout the project.
