TSDOS Technical Paper — Drilled Shaft Torsional Capacity
Client: Technical Research & Publication
Project Overview
Developed and presented original research on the interaction between geotechnical and structural torsional capacities of drilled shaft foundations used in transmission line applications. Scope included:
- Development of technical paper with supporting calculations
- Coordination of internal technical reviews
- Incorporation of independent industry feedback prior to submission
- Formal presentation at the 58th Annual Transmission & Substation Design & Operation Symposium (TSDOS)
- Publication in TSDOS symposium proceedings
Additionally presented analytical methodology for fall protection and walkability on lattice towers at the ASCE Electrical Transmission & Substation Structures (ETS) Conference, developing an Excel VBA-based program for calculating combined axial and flexural capacities on angle members.
